Dubai Parkland

Laird Bailey was appointed to develop a strategy and masterplan for a commercial wasteland in the Jebel Air Free Zone in Dubai for KLM International. Working closely with the client and consultant team LBLA developed a number of concept designs before working up a final masterplan. LBLA relish a challange which on this site were many. Notable hurdles included the desert conditons, unrelenting sun and the occasional sandstorm.

A landscape with a legacy. The team developed a landscape masterplan with a legacy to ensure functionality in the future with the anticipated expansion of the on-site commerical units. LBLA put together a beautiful example of desert planting that aims to create a much cooler microclimate across the site whilst displaying seasonal colours.
