Cruxton – Landscape Design

LBLA developed the hard and soft landscape design for this first phase of a large residential development in Wimborne, Dorset. The designed areas included a strategic area of natural green space along the river Stour. The development comprised over 200 units with several local areas of play and a neighbourhood equipped area of play. We developed a landscape scheme that created habitat opportunity for a range of amphibian, mammal and bird species. This was achieved through wildflower meadow management, enhancement and creation.

Proposed hard landscaping created a hierarchy of spaces creating shared zones for pedestrians and vehicles. Soft landscape design within the development aided the creation of clearly identifiable character areas. We look forward to this one being built out on site over the next few years.
